Top 4 Quarterbacks, Class of 2022

There are four 5-star quarterbacks in the Class of 2022, according to 247 sports: Cade Klubnik (Austin, TX), Conner Weigman (Cypress, TX), Ty Simpson (Martin, TN), and Drew Allar (Medina, OH). 

Cade Klubnik.  QB, 6-foot-2.5, 186 pounds, Westlake high school (Austin, TX). Rated no. 1 quarterback nationally by 247 sports and the no. 6 overall national recruit. Runs a 4.67 forty, has a 33-inch vertical leap and Signed with Clemson on December 15, 2021.

Klubnik had 3500 passing yards and 35 touchdowns as a junior, against just three interceptions. He also rushed for 585 yards and 15 touchdowns, leading his team to a 14-0 record and state championship, and being named the Texas 6A D1 MVP.

Conner Weigman. QB, 6-foot-2, 208 pounds.  Bridgeland high school (Cypress, TX).  Rated the no. 2 quarterback nationally and no. 22 overall recruit for the class of 2022.  Signed with Texas A&M on December 15, 2021 and enrolled on January 11, 2022.

Weigman complete 191-of-306 passes in 2021 for 2588 yards and 29 touchdowns, against six interceptions.  He rushed 106 times for 754 yards and nine more scores.  He also had three receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  His junior season was even more impressive as he was responsible for 4,382 total yards and 51 touchdowns.

Ty Simpson. QB, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. Westview high school (Martin, TN). Rated the no. 3 quarterback nationally and the no. 26 overall recruit for the class of 2022.  Committed to play for Alabama.

Simpson rushed for over 1200 yards and 15 touchdowns his senior season.

Drew Allar. QB, 6-foot-4.5, 232 pounds. Medina high school (Medina, OH). Rated the no. 4 quarterback and the no. 32 overall recruit for the class of 2022. Allar signed with Penn State on December 15, 2021 and enrolled on January 9, 2022.

Allar went 305-for-509 passing in 2021 for 4,444 yards and 48 touchdowns, against seven interceptions.  He also rushed 128 times for 382 yards and nine more scores.
