Coleton Beck (RB, Class of 2018)

Coleton Beck is a 6-foot-1 185 pound running back, safety, and kick returner for the Class of 2018.  He preps at Blacksburg High School (Blacksburg, VA), where he has been burning the competition since his freshman season.

As a freshman he had 74 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble on the gridiron.  He was also the 3rd fasted freshman in the state on the track, competing in the 100 meter.  As a sophomore he had 698 rushing yards (4.8 ypc) and 971 all-purpose yards with nine touchdowns.  He also won the state titles in the 100 meter (10.59), the 200 meters (21.71), and the 4×100 meter relay.

As a junior this season he rushed for 1974 yards (9.8 ypc), with 2538 all-purpose yards and 36 touchdowns, being named to the All-Region first team.  Through three playoff games (3A West) he has a whopping 972 yards rushing with 13 touchdowns, including a 436 yard six touchdown performance in the first round.

Beck is not yet rated by Scout, Rivals, or ESPN. He holds scholarship offers from Appalachian State, Boston College, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Delaware State, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, James Madison, Kent State, Kentucky Christian, Liberty, Louisville, Marshall, Massachusetts, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Old Dominion, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Temple, UAB, Virginia, Western Michigan, and Youngstown State.  Beck has seen recruiting interest from Charlotte, Clemson, Marshall, NC State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and West Virginia.
